Xbox enables streaming for previously purchased games via Xbox Cloud Gaming

Microsoft has launched a new update for Xbox Cloud Gaming, allowing Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream games they own, even if they're not part of the Game Pass library. This feature, currently in beta, initially offers up to 50 titles with plans to expand in the future.

The service supports streaming on various devices, such as TVs, smartphones, tablets, and PCs via a web browser at xbox.com/play, enhancing user accessibility. Microsoft also plans to extend this capability to Xbox consoles and the Xbox app on Windows next year.

The initial rollout of 50 games is just the beginning, as Microsoft collaborates with global partners to grow the library of cloud-playable titles. However, licensing restrictions mean not all games will be available. It is also worth noting that, at least for now, an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription is required, and you must be in one of the regions where Xbox Cloud Gaming is available.
