Obsidian has released a Web Clipper extension to enhance your knowledge management

Obsidian has launched the Obsidian Web Clipper, an extension designed to enhance note-taking and knowledge management by allowing users to highlight and capture content from the web directly in their preferred browser. This tool stores saved content as Markdown files, ensuring offline accessibility and long-term preservation.

Users can utilize Web Clipper to organize information into various formats, such as recipe books, personal movie databases, travel planners, or read-it-later lists. The extension prioritizes privacy and customization, converting complex HTML elements like tables, code blocks, footnotes, and math equations into plain text.

Compatible with major desktop and mobile browsers including Firefox, Safari, Chrome, Brave, Arc, Orion, and others, Obsidian Web Clipper is free and open source, distributed under the MIT license.
