Meta brings AI backgrounds, HD video, noise reduction, Siri integration to Messenger calls
Meta has announced the introduction of new features for Messenger Calling, aimed at enhancing the user experience by making calls more engaging and reliable. Among the updates, users will soon have the ability to use AI-generated backgrounds during video calls, adding a personalized touch to their conversations.
Additionally, Meta is rolling out HD video calling, which will be automatically enabled for Wi-Fi connections, with an option to activate it for cellular data through call settings. This update is complemented by the introduction of background noise suppression and voice isolation, designed to deliver clearer and higher-quality calls.
Further enhancing communication flexibility, users can now leave audio and video messages when contacts are unavailable. Moreover, integration with Siri allows users to initiate calls and messages hands-free, providing added convenience when multitasking or when their device is out of reach. These features reflect Meta's ongoing commitment to improving the functionality and user experience of its messaging platform.
