Google Maps replaced its 'speed trap' tool with a new enhanced 'police reporting' feature
Google Maps has updated its incident reporting feature by replacing the "Speed trap" option with a more comprehensive "Police" option. This change enables users to report police presence for various reasons, such as directing traffic or conducting stops, rather than being limited to speed traps.
The "Police" option is now positioned higher on the incident report list, making it more accessible for users. This adjustment aims to improve safety by alerting users to potential hazards or law enforcement activities ahead.
Currently, the change has been rolled out in the Google Maps mobile app, but its availability on Android Auto or Apple CarPlay has not been confirmed.
