JetBrains releases Fleet 1.41 with new keymaps, unlimited splits, and enhanced UI features
JetBrains has released version 1.41 of its code editor, Fleet, introducing several new features and enhancements. This update includes highly requested predefined keymaps, allowing users to select from IntelliJ IDEA Classic, Emacs, Sublime Text, or Eclipse keymaps via the settings. The main panel now supports unlimited splits, enabling more than two vertical or horizontal divisions, complemented by eight new actions in the Actions menu for panel adjustments.
Windows users can now open files or folders directly with Fleet via the context menu. The update enhances typing latency and editor responsiveness, particularly when handling larger files. Fleet's UI has undergone changes, featuring a new startup page design, a more organized connection page, and a minimized side menu that lists recent remote connections for quick access. Additionally, automatic connection to SSH or WSL servers on startup is now possible.
A new action in the context menu and Goto popup allows users to select profiles when opening a new terminal. Android developers benefit from an integrated Android device manager for creating, launching, and deleting virtual devices locally. Version 1.41 also includes minor enhancements and bug fixes.
