Microsoft Copilot will be integrated into the Phone Link app for Galaxy Book 4 series

Microsoft's AI software, Copilot, will be integrated into the Phone Link app on Samsung's Galaxy Book 4 series, which will allow the AI to analyze messages and generate template responses between devices. Currently the app also facilitate connectivity between Android phones and Windows PCs, enabling users to mirror phone functionality, send/receive texts, and make/receive calls.

The integration of Microsoft Copilot (Windows & 365) is aimed at boosting productivity by permitting the AI to track and respond to recommendations, such as confirming dinner plans based on restaurant reviews. Further integration of Copilot into more Samsung apps is anticipated, offering a wider array of productivity tools.

When Galaxy phones are connected to a Windows PC via the Phone Link app, they will also be able to serve as webcams with features like background blur and auto framing, pretty similar to what was already possible on iOS17, with Android 14, or with the assistance of third-party apps like EpocCam.

These AI features are compatible with Samsung phones running One UI 1.0 or newer and are presumed to function wirelessly. While currently exclusive to Samsung Galaxy Book 4 laptops, there is speculation that these features may be extended to other Windows PCs and non-Samsung devices in the future.
