Figma's Dev Mode is finally out of beta, bringing annotations, measurement tools, and more

As we reported last week, Figma has officially announced that Dev Mode is coming out of beta and is now available to the general public. Dev Mode is designed to ease the handoff from design to code by offering tools and features tailored specifically for developers, providing them with essential tools such as plugins, extensions, annotations, and other tailored features.

The most recent update for Dev Mode introduced a new annotations tool, enabling designers to share additional context, properties, and design specs directly linked to their designs in floating windows. A new Measurements tool is also included, which lets users draw exact measurements of components with a simple click-and-drag and it keeps up-to-date even when design elements are changed/moved. There's also a new comparison tool which enabling users to visually and in code compare any two frames, making it easier to track changes between design iterations.

It's worth noting that Dev Mode is included in the $12/mo professional plan, while organizations and enterprises can choose to pay only for Dev Mode at $25/mo and $35/mo respectively. You can take a look at all the features and pricing here.
