Spotify launches 'Showcase' and 'Songwriter Promo Cards' for promotion and recognition
Spotify has introduced a new feature called Showcase, allowing artists to pay for promotional content on the platform's Home feed. Artists can promote either a single song or an entire album through mobile banners, which are clearly marked as recommendations. It also provides comprehensive campaign metrics, including engagement with fans, new listeners, and those who have been inactive for over two years. The feature operates on a cost per click (CPC) basis with a starting budget of $100.
In addition to Showcase, Spotify has also launched "Songwriter Promo Cards" and a "Written By" playlist is available on every Songwriter Page, making it effortless for listeners to explore the songs penned by a particular songwriter, and providing an additional means to receive acknowledgment for their contributions. The Promo Cards, which can be created on promocards.byspotify.com, where songwriters can craft the Cards tailored to their preferences, selecting their profile and customizing the background color to match their style. These Promo Cards are seamlessly connected to the songwriter's Spotify page, enabling easy sharing on social media. Notably, no login is required, allowing anyone to create these cards for the purpose of promoting their work.
