Social Network X expands crowdsourced moderation with Community Notes for videos

Social network X has broadened its crowdsourced moderation program with the introduction of Community Notes for videos. This feature allows contributors to add notes to specific videos, which will then automatically appear on any post featuring that video. The aim is to provide context to edited clips, AI-generated videos, and other multimedia content (especially useful during election season).

Contributors who qualify can choose to attach notes to a video by selecting the "About the video in this post, and should appear on all posts including this video" option. Community Notes have been available worldwide since last year, reflecting X's commitment to global moderation. The company has been steadily increasing support for contributors from more countries to enhance post context.

In addition, X has introduced a counter feature to track the frequency of an image with notes appearing on the platform, that you can see right in the note details.
