Groupy 2.12 update enhances compatibility and translation, adds new features
The latest version of Stardock Groupy 2.12 has been launched with a key focus on enhancing compatibility and improving translations. The update brings several improvements in compatibility with both Stardock and third-party applications. To manually check for the update, users can navigate to the Groupy 2 configuration window, click on the About tab, and select Check Now.
Groupy 2 is a utility tool that adds tabs to several applications similar to TidyTabs. The app has addressed several bug fixes and enhancements in this update, like an issue with the Groupy configuration opening twice during installation and problems with the drop-down menu on monitors with different scale factors. The update also improves the way groups are saved, opened, and displayed, resulting in better consistency when accessing previously saved groups. This is particularly beneficial for users who work with different web browsers. Compatibility improvements have also been implemented for software such as WindowBlinds, Fancy Zones, among others.
Groupy 2.12 also optimizes the auto-grouping of windows in tab groups and modifies the rules systems to enhance performance when moving windows with integrated tabs. A new feature, DelayAfterLaunch, has been added for custom delays in launching apps. The update in general addresses several issues related to window positioning, resizing, and tab management.
The new version can be downloaded from the official website, through the app's update check feature, or on Steam. It is part of the Object Desktop suite, which includes other Stardock programs such as Fences, Start11, SoundPackager, Stardock DeskScapes, and Multiplicity.
