After years of being requested, the official WhatsApp app for iPadOS is finally a reality

Meta has finally introduced a beta version of WhatsApp for iPadOS, which is accessible through TestFlight and functions independently of users' phones. The app uses Mac Catalyst technology to ensure its compatibility with iPad devices. And precisely this move is interesting, considering that the platform released an upgraded native app for MacOS with new features like group calling and better performance just a few weeks ago.

In order to use the beta app, users need to have the beta version of WhatsApp installed on their iPhone or iPad and connect the iPad to the iOS device via a QR code scan.

Despite this progress, the beta version does not fully support certain features, such as viewing and posting statuses. Meta plans to release updates to fix these issues and improve the app's functionality in the future. The app is still in beta, but this finally addresses the previous complaints from users over the years about not having a reliable WhatsApp app available for iPad.
