Meta CEO announces new WhatsApp feature for swift, unnamed group creation

Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has introduced a new feature for WhatsApp, which allows users to form groups without naming them. This feature is designed for situations that require swift group formation or when a topic is yet to be determined.

These unnamed groups have a maximum capacity of six participants, unlike regular WhatsApp groups that can hold up to 1,024 members. The group name will be automatically generated from the profiles of the users in the group and may vary for each participant, based on their saved contacts. If a user hasn't saved any contacts, their phone numbers might appear in the group name.

This feature is primarily intended for friends and family who already know each other, considering contact details may be shown. WhatsApp plans to launch this new group feature worldwide in the coming weeks. This follows several recent WhatsApp updates, including HD photo support, screen sharing, and short video message features.
