Spotify partners with Calm app to offer mindfulness content on its platform

Spotify has partnered with the relaxation and sleep app, Calm, to offer mindfulness content on its streaming platform. This enables Spotify users to access a selection of free content from Calm, with more content available through subscription or free trial.

Calm has introduced 11 shows on Spotify, including titles like Calm for Beginners, Calm for Stress & Anxiety, Calm for Meditation, Calm for Sleep, Calm for Kids, and a mindfulness show by Camila Cabello. These shows offer a mix of free and subscription-based content.

The collaboration aims to make mindfulness more accessible in daily routines by housing Calm content in Spotify's podcast catalog. The partnership is made possible by Spotify's Open Access feature, introduced in 2021, which allows partners to provide content behind subscription paywalls. This removes the need for extra downloads or full subscription costs, giving users the chance to explore meditation and sleep apps like Calm and incorporate mindfulness into their daily lives.
