OpenAI plans Android launch for ChatGPT pretty soon, following successful iOS debut
After a successful iOS launch in May, OpenAI plans to release an Android version of ChatGPT, following its availability on iPhone and iPad.
The exact release date for the Android version remains unknown, as per OpenAI's tweet. However, potential users can pre-register on the Google Play Store. Unlike Google Gemini chatbot, which lacks dedicated mobile apps, Microsoft's Microsoft Copilot has been available on Android and iOS since February.
The imminent launch of the Android version is expected to boost the user base and popularity of ChatGPT, providing users with a new way to engage with the chatbot. OpenAI has committed to regular updates to improve the chatbot's performance, aiming to bring a similar experience to what has been seen on iOS, which has received several updates, including the introduction of web browsing through Bing (although it was disabled shortly after) and the integration with Siri and Shortcuts.

I can't wait to use ChatGPT in my Android phone, although there's already Bing Chat.
