Meta rolls out advanced video editing tools on Facebook, rebrands watch tab, and adds HDR support for Reels

Meta has introduced new video editing tools on Facebook, previously only available on Instagram Reels. Users can now reverse, speed up, replace clips, record voiceovers, reduce noise, and search for audio clips directly on their Facebook Feed. Meta Business Suite users can also access these features.

Facebook's Watch tab has been rebranded as the Video tab, serving as a hub for Reels, long-form videos, and Live content. The Video tab features a horizontal-scroll section, showcasing recommended Reels in a style similar to Instagram. The Explore section within the Video tab has been updated to suggest video content based on popular hashtags.

Meta has also added HDR support for Reels video format in response to the growing volume of HDR content. Users can upload HDR videos from their phones, ensuring full HDR playback across different devices. Additionally, a new feature allows users to interact with Instagram Reels within the Facebook app, provided their Facebook and Instagram accounts are linked through the Accounts Center.
