Apple introduces Link Tracking Protection in Messages, Mail, and Safari Private Browsing

As part of its new privacy and security features announced during the Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), Apple has introduced link tracking protection in Messages, Apple Mail, and Safari Private Browsing.

Some websites add extra information to their URLs, such as UTM, in order to track users across other websites. Now, this information will be removed from the links users share in Messages and Mail, and the links will still work as expected. This information will also be removed from links in Safari Private Browsing.

This move by Apple is a significant step towards protecting user privacy, as it prevents websites from tracking users' online activity without their consent. The feature will be particularly useful for those who use Messages and Mail to share links with friends and colleagues, as well as for those who use Safari Private Browsing to navigate the web without leaving a trace.

Apple has always been a strong advocate for user privacy and security, and this latest update is another example of the company's commitment to protecting its users' data. In addition to link tracking protection, Apple has also introduced other new privacy features to further enhance the security of its users' data.
