LibreOffice, the popular open source office software, has just received a new update. The Document Foundation, the organization behind the software, has released version 7.5.3, which offers a range of improvements and fixes.

The update includes 119 problem fixes and optimizations, covering a variety of areas. These include stability, file compatibility with popular formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, RTF, and PDF, user interface, text editing, and content display.

Our take: LibreOffice 7.5.3 is the third maintenance update of the latest 7.5 version, which arrived in February 2023 as a major update of the free and open source alternative to Microsoft Office. It will be supported until November 30th, 2023 and every update is expected to improve the overall user experience and make the software more reliable.
