WhatsApp introduces pinned messages feature for individual and group chats

WhatsApp has introduced a new feature allowing users to pin messages in individual and group chats for easy access to important info, similar to how Messenger, Telegram, or Messages works. The feature supports different content types such as text, polls, images, and emojis, but only one chat can be pinned at a time. To use it, users have to long-press a conversation and select the 'Pin' option, with the option to pin messages for 24 hours, 7 days, or 30 days.

In group admins can control who can pin a message, but it's still unclear whether WhatsApp will extend this feature to its Channels functionality.

Alongside the pinned messages feature, WhatsApp has recently introduced disappearing voice messages, which can only be viewed once, and Secret Code protection for Locked Chats.
