Threads is finally available in the EU after months of delay due to privacy regulations
Mark Zuckerberg has recently revealed that Threads, the social media app launched earlier this year to rival Twitter/X and Mastodon, is now available in the European Union. Initially, Threads was not accessible in the European Union due to data privacy regulations concerns. The app's extensive data collection practices led to legal uncertainties under the Digital Markets Act, which resulted in its initial unavailability in the EU.
Aligning with the EU launch, Meta is now offering users in the region the capability to browse Threads without the necessity for a profile. However, to post or interact with content on the platform, an Instagram account will still be required.
Moreover, Meta announced yesterday its plans to enhance interoperability with Threads. This development will allow posts on Threads to be visible on other social platforms, such as Mastodon and other Fediverse services.

I have tested threads, it's not that bad, but I don't need it. Discord and YouTube are more than enough of a waste of time
