Spline reveals new features for 3D content integration and performance on Apple devices

Spline, one of the newest players in the 3D landscape, has unveiled new set of features and updates to enhance its compatibility with the Apple ecosystem. The company now supports 3D embeds for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS, enabling users to integrate 3D content into Swift (Programming Languages) or UI kit projects. Spline is also planning to extend its support to visionOS/Vision Pro, and has introduced a feature that allows users to generate Xcode projects directly from its platform.

In addition to these updates, Spline has launched UI scenes designed for the 3D space to improve user interaction. The company's latest release also includes a new particle system that lets users create dynamic effects such as fire, snow, and rain. It now support particle colliders to enhance the realism of particle effects, and allows users to utilize particle forces and custom textures for more control and unique visual effects.

Furthering its commitment to performance optimization, Spline has released a new Metal renderer, "Spell," specifically designed to enhance performance on Apple devices. These features are currently in beta or early preview, but you can check out all the changes in the recording of their 'Unfolding Dimensions' event.
