Microsoft Edge for Android updates translation UI with a new panel in the Canary version

Microsoft Edge for Android is receiving an upgrade aimed at improving the Translation UI. The latest change sees the browser transition from a popup UI to a panel UI for translation in the Canary version, aiming to provide a more visually appealing experience. The new panel-based UI appears below the address bar without blocking the content, and the page translation options are easily accessible when users tap the down arrow.

To try it out, users need to activate the actual translation feature first, and they can do so by navigating to settings in the Microsoft Edge app on their Android device, selecting general, choosing Microsoft Translator, and enabling the "Translate pages" option. After that, users can activate the new Translator UI by accessing the latest Microsoft Edge Canary. They should then go to edge://flags, search for "translator," and enable the "New Translator UI." After restarting Edge, the new UI becomes active, and users can start translating pages not in their preferred language by tapping "translate."

There is still no news about an official date, but this change should not take long to be introduced soon in the stable version of the browser.
