Threads now allows users to opt out of post sharing on Instagram and Facebook

Threads users can now opt out of having their posts appear on Instagram and Facebook, offering greater control over content visibility. To enable this feature, users must go to the Threads app, click on the two lines in the top right corner, navigate to Privacy, and select "Suggesting posts on other apps." This will display two switches to stop suggestions for Instagram or Facebook.

The feature's rollout might be gradual, so users are encouraged to check for availability.

Alessandro Paluzzi, a software engineer, has suggested that Meta may be planning to expand Threads to EU users. However, the expansion has been delayed due to the Digital Markets Act, which regulates cross-platform data handling in Europe. Despite these regulatory hurdles, the ongoing improvements and user-focused features have led to speculation about more significant changes to Threads in the future.
