Telegram CEO reveals plans for VisionOS app tailored for Apple Vision Pro
Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has revealed plans to launch a visionOS app tailored for Apple Vision Pro. The app, designed in line with Apple's visionOS guidelines, will feature a translucent interface, providing users with a sense of depth. It will also include a sidebar for quick access to contacts, chats, calls, and settings, offering a unique user interface.
The visionOS app will retain all the familiar features of Telegram on iOS, including media sharing, audio messages, and the recently added Stories feature. An immersive video player is also highlighted in the teaser, promising an improved multimedia experience for Apple Vision Pro users.
The teaser also demonstrates the use of animated AR stickers that fill the entire screen, adding a visually engaging element to messaging. Users will be able to send messages via Siri dictation or the system's virtual keyboard. With the Apple Vision Pro set to launch in the United States in early 2024, we can almost count on Telegram being one of the first third-party apps to provide support for the new operating system.
