AlmaLinux 9.3 released with enhanced security, flexibility, and reliability

AlmaLinux, the community-owned enterprise Linux distribution that's compatible with RHEL, has unveiled its latest version — 9.3, also known as “Shamrock Pampas Cat”. This marks the first release that has been completely constructed from upstream sources, a departure from previous versions that relied on the source code from Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

The primary focus of AlmaLinux 9.3 is to augment flexibility and reliability, while simultaneously boosting security across various hybrid environments. This version continues to streamline automation and system management, with enhancements to the web console that simplify management tasks. In addition, users now have the ability to configure health check actions for Podman containers and vsock devices within virtual machines.

Developers stand to gain from the updates to Application Streams, which offer increased customization options and flexibility without compromising the stability of the platform. Moreover, AlmaLinux 9.3 places significant emphasis on enhanced security and compliance. It also offers the necessary flexibility, stability, and reliability to foster innovation in hybrid cloud environments.
