WhatsApp channels expand with new multi-admin roles and text message editing

Since its launch in June, WhatsApp Channels has been expanding its services to become a real-time update center for specific topics or companies by adding new features such as voice messages, stickers, and permalinks to individual messages for easy sharing. And now, the latest update for WhatsApp Beta on Android, version 2.23.23.7, also plans to introduce additional administrative roles for channel owners. This allows owners to assign admin roles to trusted individuals who can manage the channel while keeping their identities hidden from followers.

The multi-admin feature is crucial for maintaining channel activity and ensuring timely content updates. This will be particularly beneficial for rapidly spreading breaking news and encouraging instant contributions from reporters and editors.

WhatsApp Channels has also launched a feature that allows users to edit text content up to 30 days after posting. This editing ability is restricted to text content, with no options to modify photos, videos, or other media. The editing process is straightforward on Android and browsers, requiring users to select "Edit" after long-pressing the message. Just keep in mind that users will not be notified when a message in a channel is edited.
