Vivaldi 6.4 launches with a volume slider for videos, calendar templates, and cross-sync

Just over a month ago, the official version of Vivaldi for iOS was launched on , and now the company has also released the latest Vivaldi 6.4 version to all users, introducing several enhancements and new features. A significant upgrade includes a volume slider for pop-out videos or picture-in-picture. Users can access this and other features such as a "back to tab button," and scrubbing by hovering the cursor over the playing video.

The 6.4 version also brings Calendar Templates to its built-in Calendar, allowing users to create templates for recurring events like meetings and birthdays, streamlining the event creation process. The new update also fixes various issues related to the address bar, bookmarks, tabs, feeds, history, menus, and Mail. With the recent changes, the web browser has expanded its availability to several platforms, including Windows 10 and 11, macOS, Linux, Android, Android Automotive, Raspberry Pi, and iOS, allowing users to synchronize passwords, favorites, history, and other content across all devices through Vivaldi Sync.

Regarding data security, Vivaldi uses its servers located in Iceland to store sync data, which the company claims enhances data privacy. Its sync engine, based on Chromium, has been modified to use Vivaldi's servers instead of Google's. The data is encrypted with a password that Vivaldi does not have access to, ensuring only the user can access it.
