Netflix is expanding its game streaming service to the US to take on competitors

Netflix, the streaming titan, has extended its games streaming beta to the United States, following its initial launch in Canada and the UK in August. The feature allows games to be streamed from the cloud to devices such as TVs and computers.

This expansion could potentially position Netflix as a competitor for Microsoft's Xbox Cloud Gaming service, which is a component of its Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription plan. Other potential rivals in the cloud gaming sphere include NVIDIA GeForce Now and Amazon Luna.

Historically, Netflix has relied on its subscription-based model for revenue. However, as competition intensifies in the streaming industry with platforms like Disney+, Hulu, and Amazon Prime, the company is exploring diversification of its revenue streams, with the game streaming service being a part of this strategy.
