Instagram is testing a feature for viewing only Meta Verified posts
Instagram is testing a feature that allows users to only view posts from Meta Verified individuals, aimed at increasing user control over their feed and boosting visibility for businesses and content creators. Instagram's chief, Adam Mosseri, announced the trial and highlighted the feature's potential benefits for users.
To access the Meta Verified feed, users can activate the option under "Following" and "Favorites" sections when clicking on the Instagram logo. The feature's visibility might make Meta Verified, costing $11.99 on the web and $14.99 in the app, appealing for users seeking increased visibility on their feeds.
The exact size of the test group and the users who will have access to this feature remain undisclosed. Meta Verified was rolled out earlier this year on Instagram and Facebook, offering perks such as a blue verification checkmark, enhanced customer support, and protection against impersonation. The feature was initially tested in Australia and New Zealand before being launched in the U.S., and it was recently announced that the program would be expanded to business accounts.
