Snapchat is testing out midroll advertisements in stories
Snapchat will start testing and implementing advertisements in the middle of public stories by the most popular users on the social network.
In an announcement on the official newsroom, Team Snap announced that these advertisements will be rolled out over the next few months through the year. Currently, these "Snap Star Stories mid-roll advertisements" are in limited beta testing with select United States Snap Stars. The goal of this advertising scheme is to have those users "receive a share of the revenue generated from ads within their public Story."
Snapchat concluded their post by mentioning how this is "high value" advertisement placement for those wishing to advertise on the network. No further details or opt-out options were mentioned or detailed, and the revenue sharing with Snapchat users that implement these advertisements was not given any additional detail.
