Magix releases significant update for ACID Pro 10
Magix has published a significant release of ACID Pro 10 featuring numerous improvements across the board along with some totally new extensions and notably, direct inclusion of the Essential version of Celemony Melodyne which lets composers very easily manipulate music in audio content by note pitches, timing and more. Melodyne has become a key component for many modern music composers so inclusion in ACID is very welcomed.
Other new features include: • Version 2 of Zynaptiq's AI-powered Stem Maker Audio Source Separation technology for separating musical parts in audio content, now with improved separation at even higher processing speed. • All new ACID Morph Pads for instantly morphing between a diverse range of effect presets. • Revised MIDI Playable Chopper with all-new transient detection and auto-slicer.
ACID Pro 10 is available in two versions with ACID Pro 10 Suite being the highest and which includes a vastly increased bundle of instruments and effects. New to that version is the award-winning Xfer Serum wavetable synthesizer bundled with thousands of professionally crafted presets along with the ability to create, import, edit and morph wavetables, and manipulate them in real time.
This latest update clearly codifies Magix' commitment to the platform's success. Back when it first launched under Sony Creative Software ownership, ACID Pro offered a ground-breaking take on audio arrangement that really caught on with DJs across the world. Some years down the road though, development seemed to slow to a crawl. This allowed apps like Reaper, which initially mimicked ACID's style and workflow, to gain a strong foothold as an alternative. But in 2016, Magix acquired ACID Pro from Sony and seems to have really pushed the pace with new advancements like this recent update.
