Apple has published a support article on its website that describes how computers running Small Windows XP iconWindows XP and Small Windows Vista iconWindows Vista will no longer be able to utilize the online services of the Small iTunes iconiTunes application.

The support article critically states the following:
"You can continue to use previous versions of iTunes on your Windows PC without support from Apple. However, you won't be able to make new purchases from the iTunes Store or redownload previous purchases on that computer.
After May 25, you'll need to use Windows 7 or later with the latest version of iTunes to make purchases from the iTunes Store and redownload previous purchases."

In this case, our friends at Small gHacks icongHacks have published an excellent suggestion:
"Customers may want to download all purchased items to the local system for safekeeping. It may also be a good idea to back up the data so that a means of restoration is available. Affected customers have until May 25, 2018 to download any items that are not stored on the local system running XP or Vista already."

For users that wish to use Windows XP or Vista as their primary operating system and will need alternatives to Small iTunes iconiTunes come May 25th, you're in the right place!
