Superwhisper is probably one of the most complete STT apps. It supports both local and cloud models, works offline, has custom modes and prompts, and even lets you use your own API keys. Its S1 Voice model is also really impressive. The free tier is actually useful, although the best models and some advanced features require Pro

  2. Voice-activated dictation transcribes speech to accurate text in real time, supports over 100 languages, and works seamlessly with all Windows applications.

Wispr Flow is great and very full-featured, I love it, but the only downside is that the free tier is limited so you need to pay. It’s still cool though, and they offer a student plan, which is awesome. They also have apps for iOS, macOS, Windows, and Android (the Android one is in early access).

Handy is honestly great: it is open source, uses open-weight models that are perfect for privacy, and works very well I’ve had almost no bugs with it.

Raycast’s dictation is really good, especially if you already use Raycast. It works system-wide, automatically removes filler words and fixes punctuation and grammar, and supports custom styles, vocabulary, and app context. The main downside is that Dictation requires Raycast Pro and isn’t really focused on local/offline transcription.

  5. Whisperian is a highly configurable voice-to-text (voice typing) tool made for Android. Supports local STT models like Parakeet v3.

    scorpion7slayerscorpion7slayer’s note

This application is perfect for Android: it is free, works with APIs and local models (voice only), and for post-processing you need an API key, except for Groq which is free for both voice and post-processing.

Most seems to be STT not TTS, is your title wrong?
