Use the desktop to keep content from across your Mac accessible and organized in defined areas — folder-backed, tag-backed, or virtual — or simply keep it clutter-free.

One turf, five folders. Tabs let a single turf hold an entire project — manuscript, notes, inspiration, submissions — instead of spreading it across the desktop. The wallpaper shows through, so it sits in the desktop rather than on top of it.
Turfs can be small. This one holds the three files today actually needs and nothing else. Click the title and it rolls up to a single line.
A folder-backed turf showing its contents as previews. Point a turf at a real folder and whatever is in the folder is in the turf — and the other way around. Supports Quicklook.

Tabs don't have to be folders in a project. Here they're stages of work, and the turf takes its own color so a glance is enough.
