IE has improved

Positive Comment by LAN
about Internet Explorer Jul 2014

Internet Explorer is known as bad, but it has improved. User interface in new version is good, it's much faster than previous versions of IE, and it seems it finally takes HTML5 seriously. It isn't as good as Firefox or Opera, but it's not a piece of garbage anymore.

I'm only going to update since it looks more secure than IE8, but for whatever IE9 has to bring, doesn't benefit me as a Firefox/Opera user.

Many people even know what a browser is. 1 Helpful

Negative Comment by jasonbay13
about Internet Explorer Jun 2011

The only reason that IE gets used is because many people that have Windows just know that its the "internet" and don't even know what a browser is. I have met a few people who actually prefer it. i think because its either because that's what came with the computer or they don't like installing things.

IE stinks.
It's slow and it eats memory like nothing I've ever seen before. The only reason why it survives is cuz it's shipped with Windows.

Internet Explorer is the least secure major browser.

Negative Comment by OmgItsTheSmartGuy
about Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome Jun 2011

Internet Explorer is the least secure major browser available. The only reason anyone uses it is because it becomes prepackaged with Windows. If you actually care about your internet browsing experience, get an alternative browser like Firefox or Chrome. Due to its popularity and numerous security holes, IE is most frequently targeted by malware, popups, drive-by downloads, and other similar crap.
