I enjoy finding and describing software alternatives, so this site is pretty fantastic!
As a lifelong video game fan (I learned to read off of SNES and N64 RPGs and action/adventure games!), I love keeping up with developments in both video gaming and technology.

Commented on TeamViewerTeamViewer has been around a long time and has definitely been useful when helping friends out with tech issues. I haven't used it in years, so I won't give it a rating, but my experiences with it when I needed to use it actively a few years back were quite positive. Free remote desktop connection software with manageable latency and easy setup for any person (or people) involved.
Commented on Kahoot!Kahoot definitely keeps people engaged with the content you're looking to have them learn by gamification. It handles this arguably better than other quiz game style services. However, its attempt to combat cheating does not quite work in an environment where everyone sits close together or in an illuminated location. Part of this problem is inherent to human nature in the face of competition, though there must be other measures the service can take in order to curb cheating.
- Commented on Google Calendar
Google Calendar is easy to use and features plenty of options for integrating with other calendar and scheduling tools. Its ubiquity makes it easy to use as a reference point for scheduling, and it works as a common tool to introduce new computer and smartphone users into the world of online event scheduling.
