What is YourOS?
YourOS is an open-ended starting point. It is a lightweight HTML dashboard connected to local JSON databases that integrates seamlessly with Claude Cowork. This might sound really nerdy, but ultimately it's a simple folder that lives on your computer and has an html-webpage as interface.
It lives 100% locally on your computer. No SaaS subscriptions. No data harvesting. Only you have access to it.
How it works:
-
The workflow: you use the built-in Claude Skills for daily check-ins (I check in at 9:00, 12:00, and 16:30) to process new emails, track task estimations, and debrief meetings. Every Sunday (or Monday, or whenever you start your week), you use the Weekly Planning skill to set up your week.
-
The context: Claude Cowork understands what you are working on. It reads your active projects, knows who is emailing you, and links everything together automatically (especially if you use project to organize in Claude as well!).
-
The superpower (customization): Don't know how to code? Don't worry, neither do I. Once you set up YourOS, you can literally ask Claude to build new features, add buttons, or create entirely new dashboards. You mold it to however you work.
What you get in the download: 📖 The YourOS Micro-Course (A step-by-step PDF guide to setting everything up) 🖥? The local HTML Dashboard and local server scripts (Mac & Windows) 🧠 The core .skill files for Claude (Setup, Daily Check-in, Weekly Planning) 🗂? The local database structure (JSON)
Requirements:
- A Claude Pro Subscription (so you can use Claude Cowork and Projects)
- Google Workspace (Gmail & Google Calendar)
- A desire to take back your time and ditch SaaS bloat.
Take an hour to set this up, use it intentionally for two weeks, and you will never go back to generic task managers again.
