What is YaST?

YaST actually stands for Yet another Setup Tool. It's popular for its attractive and easy to use graphical interface and the capability to customize your system quickly during and after the installation. Setup hardware, printers, configure the network and file sharing, edit the boot manager settings and entries (GRUB), system services and security settings like the firewall, software packages and repositories, etc. All these tasks can be performed in separated modules all reachable from the YaST Control Center.
