Don't be fooled into trying to use Wordpress.com's hosting to run a wordpress site. When you use wordpress software on another hosting provider, you can tweak your site just how you like it. Even when you pay for domain and hosting on wordpress.com, what you get is a crippled instance of wordpress, which prevents you from installing custom themes, modifying the CSS code, etc, unless you pay much more for the business version. AVOID.
