Word Notebook

Word Notebook (Dil Defteri in Turkish) is a vocabulary notebook app for Android and iPhone. Users save the words they come across in a separate notebook per language (22 languages), with several meanings, an optional example sentence and pronunciation through the phone's text-to-speech voice. Words can be added one after another without closing the add sheet.

Practice has three modes: Flashcards, Quiz (four options) and Write (small typos are recognised), in the direction word → meaning, meaning → word or mixed. Words answered wrong or skipped collect in a separate My mistakes list, and every session can be reviewed afterwards.

The app also includes ready-made courses with 1,535 selected words from A1 to C2: English (662), German (341), French (286) and Spanish (246), each word with an example sentence. Passing a unit test with 70% opens the next unit, and a whole unit can be added to the user's notebook in one tap.

The free version allows 2 notebooks and 200 words and shows ads. Pro is a one-time in-app purchase with unlimited notebooks and words and no ads; there is no subscription. An account (email or Google, and Apple on iPhone) keeps words across devices. The interface is available in English, Turkish, German, Spanish, French and Russian, with a dark theme and a daily reminder. There is no spaced-repetition scheduling: users choose what to practise.
