What is Wondershare PDFelement?
Wondershare PDFelement is a versatile PDF tool that allows users to edit text, OCR, images, and objects in a PDF document. It includes options to merge, split, and convert PDF files to MS Word format, and edit or fill out PDF forms. It offers features such as reading, editing, annotating, converting, and signing PDF files. A free trial is available.
Key features include a PDF Editor with font recognition, the ability to change font, size, color, and more. The Markup & Annotate PDF feature allows users to add text boxes, stamps, and freehand drawings, and highlight, underline or strike through text. The Fill & Sign Forms feature allows direct editing of PDF forms with a handwriting signature option.
PDFelement also includes a PDF Converter that supports various output formats while maintaining the integrity of the original content. The Create & Combine PDF feature lets users combine different format files into a new PDF. The software supports importing files from cloud storage services or via WiFi. Used it on my Mac for a number of years. Switched over to the Windows version and was provided with a fair upgrade deal.
Really does a nice job of editing PDFs (and I don't just mean adding text blocks but actually changing the existing text). Deals nicely with PDFs I've created with M$'s PDF driver or the one Wondershare provides. Even 100% compatible with older PDFs I generated back on my Mac some years ago but I brought over to my PC recently.
The only complaint I have is that the installation also seems to bring along "Wondershare Studio" which you should turn off in your Startup Apps. Also review your other installed apps to review other apps Wondershare tries to sneak in. These aren't malware but seem to provide other means to market their products. Again, just disable or remove them and your PC won't have any stuff that reduces efficiency.
I'm taking away one star for the attempted bloatware.
