What is WinGPG?
WinGPG is a tray-based Windows utility application and Windows Explorer shell extension, built for use with the venerable GnuPG v2 cryptography suite. It offers the ability to manage PGP public and private keys and use them to encrypt and decrypt files easily. At its heart is a simple and effective GUI, designed to minimize to the system tray, ready to return the moment you need it. All this is made available under the GNU General Public License.
It supports the following operations: Key management (create, import, export, revoke), as well as Encrypt/Decrypt and Sign/Verify for multiple or individual files, with Windows Explorer support via context menus and global keyboard shortcuts for when you're working in other application windows or from the clipboard. No complicated setup is required, just a few quick clicks to install and it's ready to go.
WinGPG can register its own file associations into your system and let you work more comfortably and efficiently. If you already have GnuPG or the Gpg4Win suite installed in the standard location, WinGPG will use it automatically, find your keyrings and all your keys will be automatically listed in it on first execution, ready to use.
