Windows Subsystem for Android
Windows Subsystem for Android™ enables your Windows 11 device to run Android applications that are available in the Amazon Appstore.
What is Windows Subsystem for Android?
Windows Subsystem for Android or WSA is a virtual machine powered by Hyper-V to run Android apps on Windows 11 OS. Although it requires Amazon Appstore to install Android apps on your computer, WSA is the required component you must have on your PC. It is similar to Windows Subsystem for Linux that Microsoft introduced quite a few months back.
Windows Subsystem for Android is available only for US users since Amazon Appstore is not available in most other regions. Even if you manage to bypass the restriction, you must have a US-based Amazon account and opt for Windows Insider Beta Channel to get your hands on this feature. Apart from that, you must have the Windows 11 OS on supported hardware. You cannot test it on Windows 11 installed on unsupported hardware. There are two ways to install Windows Subsystem for Android on Windows 11. The first method is for those who live in the USA. For them, it is comparatively more accessible than those who live outside the USA.
