What is WiFiFoFum?
WiFiFoFum is a great mobile WiFi scanner and wardriving tool that scans for 802.11 wireless (WiFi) networks and displays information about each network it detects, including: SSID, MAC, RSSI (signal strength), channel, AP mode, security mode and available transmission rates.
WiFiFoFum also supports wardriving by creating logs of access point locations as they are discovered, so that you can save locations of WiFi hotspots for future reference.
WiFiFoFum for the iPhone is available in Cydia (jailbroken devices only) for free.

Website and Android app are not available anymore as per 2023.
At places where you would normally see 3-4 wifi networks on your iPhone's wifi scanner, WiFiFoFum will often display six or seven. This app has a farther range; Apple places artificial limitations on the official wifi scanner of the iPhone. This is because farther-away networks are harder to connect to, but personally, I would rather have a spotty connection than no connection at all.
