What is Wakaru?

Wakaru turns production JavaScript back into readable code. It splits bundles from webpack, esbuild, Browserify, Metro, and other bundlers into separate modules, then reverses minifier and transpiler output. Comma chains and !0 tricks become normal statements, and Babel and TypeScript helpers become classes, async/await, optional chaining, and ES modules again.

Use it to review what a site actually ships, debug a vendored SDK, or recover source when only the build output is left. If the build published a source map, Wakaru can also extract the original files from it.

Wakaru runs as a command-line tool (npx wakaru) on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and in a browser playground where your code never leaves your machine. It reads the input without executing it. It is not a deobfuscator. For obfuscated code, strip that layer first with a tool such as webcrack.
