Volunia was a social search engine being developed by Massimo Marchiori. It was launched for power users on February 6th, 2012. Volunia was based on the Hyper search technology.
The name Volunia comes from the words “volo” (flying) and “luna” (moon), because – as Marchiori says – he wanted to evoke the quantum leap his social search engine delivers.
