VoiceKeyboard types what you say into the window you are working in: a browser, a chat, a document, a code editor or a terminal. Press Ctrl+1 (can be changed), speak, and the words appear as you talk.
You choose the engine by name. Free: Google (58 languages, one at a time; runs through Google Chrome, so Chrome must be installed) and offline models that run on your PC, so the audio does not leave the computer: Whisper (about 99 languages on AUTO), Parakeet v3 (25 European languages, with punctuation), Vosk (small models for older PCs), GigaAM v3 and T-one for Russian. Pro: Soniox, an online engine that detects your language as you speak and can switch mid-sentence.
The FILES screen turns audio, video and video links into .txt files with Whisper on your PC.
Free plan, no account: 2,000 words of dictation a day with any engine, plus 1 file and 1 video link a day, up to 60 minutes each. Pro ($14.99 a month, or $119.88 a year at the launch price until 30 November 2026) removes the limits and adds Soniox with 1,500 minutes a month, timestamps, voice commands, and use on up to 3 PCs.
Limits: Windows 10 and 11 only; closed source; the installer is not code-signed yet, so SmartScreen shows a warning; windows running as administrator may not accept typed text. The interface is in English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese and Hindi.
