Vega-Lite Alternatives

    Vega-Lite is described as 'provides a higher-level grammar for visual analysis, comparable to ggplot or Tableau, that generates complete Vega specifications. Vega-Lite specifications consist of simple mappings of variables in a data set to visual encoding channels such as x, y, color, and size'. There are six alternatives to Vega-Lite for Online / Web-based, Self-Hosted solutions, Mac, Windows and Linux. The best alternative is D3.js, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Vega-Lite are Bokeh (Free, Open Source), Vega Visualization Grammar (Free, Open Source), NVD3 (Free, Open Source) and C3.js (Free, Open Source).
