The app feels clunky and unintuitive to use, especially when adding tags. For example, I tried dragging a tag onto a video, but instead of attaching the tag, it opened the tag in a new tab. Although you can add tags by dragging the video to the tag, which I feel It's funny thay it only works backwards Several times I clicked something and it didn't do anything (although sometimes it did work after the 3rd time clicking) Maybe I didn't see the big utility of this app but it seems to me to be...
What is Vee-Hive?
Vee-Hive makes it easy to organise your downloaded video files and is an ideal solution for cataloguing large collections across multiple storage devices. A library is automatically created complete with thumbnails after which you set about tagging your files. The tags themselves can be organised hierarchically and via links and synonyms. Best of all, you can use many of your favourite video applications without leaving the program!

Comments and Reviews
EDIT: This review seems to be irrelevant now, but I can't delete it, so I'm setting it from 1/5 stars to 5/5 stars. "Portable" version needs to be used from the C:/ drive of the computer. Putting it in an external hard drive for the sake of having it actually portable does not work.
This is simply not true. Vee-Hive can be run from any drive or network location. Although it has an installer, it can be made portable by simply copying the app's containing folders to a new location.
I do not understand your comment, as it works on external drive; more over there is a new functionnality (from 1.9 release) very usefull, to help to move files from one path to another, or rename them, and keep all information and links in your database = this point make it more even more portable than before
My review is 4 years old, fellas/ladies. I'm sure things have changed. I can't seem to delete it but I'll set it to 5 stars.

A really great video collection manager. A lot of usefull possibilies such as : to tag the complete files and/or segments of the video; to create thumbnails from video or from imported external pictures; to generate storyboards; to make advance filters to find videos that fill several criteria; ... Moreover, the support (for registered users) is very very efficient: it worth to pay a little (very affordable) for this service !
