What is Vector Magic?
Vector Magic is a digital tool that automatically converts bitmap images, such as JPG, PNG, BMP, and GIF, into vector images in SVG, EPS, and PDF formats. It has full-color tracing capabilities and doesn't require installation. The software also has a desktop application for offline conversions and integrates with applications like Illustrator and Corel.
Vector Magic is used in fields like pre-print, logo design, and graphic design. It aids in preparing artwork for print, cut, or embroidery, improves image flow, speeds up turnaround times, and reduces costs. It also converts logos into vector format for sharp display across all media and easy integration into vector compositions.
The software has automatic vectorization capabilities. It analyses the image, detects vectorization settings, and traces shapes in full color. Users can modify these settings and the software accurately traces each detail in the image. It also provides editing options to remove unwanted shapes, connect separated shapes, repair broken lines, and separate touching shapes.
Unlike services that only embed pixels while claiming to convert bitmaps to vectors, Vector Magic traces the bitmap, extracts shapes, and generates a true vector image. This ensures the resulting file doesn't blur when scaled and is suitable for cutting, sewing, laser engraving, or other applications requiring a true vector.

Comments and Reviews
The result of its vectorization process is jaw-dropping. I have tried almost every other software with tracing capabilities under the sun. Inkscape, Illustrator, Potrace, etc. and none comes remotely close to this.
I had to trace a large number of poorly pixelated signs and symbols for my class presentation and handouts lately and after trying most on-line and stand-alone software out there I almost gave up and started to trace the shapes manually. At the end, I saw Vector Magic being mentioned in a forum and thought I should give it a try, just for the last time. And man! My jaw was on the floor! The results were incredible! Clean, fast, accurate, without too many unnecessary and overlapping polygons and nodes, and as if it was traced by a skilled graphic designer (of course no graphic designer can ever trace complicated images as an automated, smart algorithm would with possibly thousands of cures and polygons if necessary). I used the on-line demo to see how it works. My badly pixelated signs and symbols came to life as if they were traced by an AI machine. Perhaps they use AI to train their algorithms, who knows; but, I had never seen anything like that.
The level of controls, the ways you can modify the algorithm and variable, the GUI, and everything in the software is designed just right. If I had a design studio, I would have bought it right away. It is worth every single penny in my opinion.
This is a remarkable program that works well to create vector images that are compatible with Adobe Illustrator
Bait and switch. Lets you upload a file, vectorize it, and get all the way until the download page until it lets you know that's a paid feature for a ridiculous $10/month with no reasonable option for a single image. Not really a premium result, the similarly priced Vectorizer yields a superior one (which even has totally free credits available).
the best application to convert images from raster to vector. I used it when I had the Mac, too bad they don't even do it for Ubuntu.
amazingly powerful and easy to use!
It's extorting users since 2018...
I use Vector Magic nearly every day and I'm always blown away by how extremely well it works, I don't know how I'd manage without it, hands down the best tracing program I've ever used and I've tried a ton of them. Absolutely excellent!
I use Photoshop to design a lot (I know, bad practice). When I need t-shirts done, the printers won't accept PSD or lossy image files, or they'll charge big bucks to convert it to a vector.
This app does it in minutes. And it does an awesome job, even with complex images. Although it seems as if the app hasn't been updated in about 6 years, I would purchase Vector Magic if I had to, without hesitation.
