Vdbench Alternatives

Vdbench is described as 'disk and tape I/O workload generator for verifying data integrity and measuring performance of direct attached and network connected storage on Windows, Solaris, Linux, AIX, OS/X and HP/UX'. There are more than 10 alternatives to Vdbench for a variety of platforms, including Windows, Mac, Linux, BSD and Self-Hosted solutions. The best alternative is CrystalDiskMark, which is both free and Open Source. Other great apps like Vdbench are fio (Free, Open Source), Blackmagic Disk Speed Test (Free), Iometer (Free, Open Source) and DiskMark (Paid).
